The solo art exhibition "Poetry of Abstraction - French Mirror of the Soul" transcends conventional abstraction interpretations.

Dubai: The profundity of human ingenuity and expression has always been reflected in art. Among its many manifestations, abstract art is unique in that it's a blank canvas on which the artist's spirit is freely expressed through vivid brushstrokes and colors. The solo art exhibition "Poetry of Abstraction - French Mirror of the Soul" transcends conventional abstraction interpretations. The show went further and examined French Abstract Expressionist Chris Barley's varied and alluring beauty of abstraction. The exquisite collection features a diverse spectrum of styles that provoke thinking and pique curiosity, from expressionism to abstract interpretations.

We at Art4you Gallery are pleased to showcase a diverse range of artworks in this exhibition. Every single one embodied the distinct viewpoints and life experiences of the artists who produced them. Each piece conveys a different story that catches moments of joy, sorrow, introspection, and serenity via the use of colors, textures, and brushstrokes. The display pushes us to see past appearances, admire the harmony that unites us, and acknowledge the resiliency and strength that each of us possesses. The capacity of his abstract art communicates a story without the use of familiar objects or locations and his works have its most alluring features.

Chris Barley is a French artist specializing in contemporary abstract painting who has lived and worked extensively over the world. He moved to Dubai in 2001. Owing to his previous nomadic lifestyle, he enjoys using his paintings to conjure up far-off locations, moods, and recollections. His passion is using movement, texture, and color to convey feelings and energy. Chris, who studied psychology and martial arts, investigates the potential of painting as a means of expressing the body and the mind. He employs abstraction as a means of physical and emotional communication in an effort to begin striking a chord with people's unconscious minds. The merging of hues, as well as the fluidity and visual delight that result from witnessing the seemingly organic and spontaneous flow of patterns, also captivate him.His unique expressive visual painting style—which is frequently likened to Pollock's paintings—was fueled by his love of nature. He also developed his own voice through the use of a BOLD color palette and surprising combinations that naturally blend to evoke strong feelings in the viewer, many of which are associated with memories.

5 Paintings in a Series titled 'Les Improbables' by Chris Barley
"Abstract paintings with layers and rich textures that merge together in a variety of hues and shapes were inspired by natural phenomena. Iridescent media combined with this extremely vivid color blending produce a piece that is deep, bright, and full of dimensions. Completed with palette knives, paint drips, and an abundance of iridescent red, blue, green, and yellow hues. The abstract style of the paintings allows the spectator to freely interact with the artwork through unique color combinations, brushstrokes, and other artistic methods. The goal of Chris's artwork is to give the audience a visceral experience that transports them. His art is meant to emotionally carry the viewer to another location for a comparable experience that is distinct and distinctive for every viewer, just as his travels across the world have physically carried him to exotic foreign locations that have altered his perceptions. His paintings are usually made up of several liquid acrylic layers that are blended together in different ways to give each one a distinct look. He frequently manipulates the liquid acrylic in his work by using unusual things. His natural sense of color selection appears to originate from his subconscious, giving each work a distinct personality and presence that demands the viewer's experience due to its profound visual depth.", says the Curator Jesno Jackson.

"I am an abstract artist whose work is intended to send the observer to a state of contemplation via the use of balance and color. Travel has been a huge influence on me. I enjoy traveling because it broadens one's horizons and allows one's imagination to run wild. Everyone's interpretation of the paintings varies greatly based on how they relate to certain colors or textures, as well as the feelings or memories they evoke. Sometimes the headlines would give a hint, but he would like not to reveal more so as not to sway the viewers' perceptions. I want my artwork to mentally challenge the spectator and provide them with an emotional or intellectual experience. Nature and organic patterns and simply witnessing how nature influences me are some of the things that impact my paintings. I've discovered that getting out of my "comfort zone" is the only way to learn, be challenged, and grow. Painting is an experience, and creating something visually rather than verbally is a big challenge! I like to employ a range of painting styles since I have so many ideas that they can't all fit into one style. However, I believe that when my work is examined as a whole, my particular voice and style are extremely evident."" artist Chris Barley says.

Chris uses unusual color schemes, brushstrokes, and other artistic techniques to create paintings that let the viewer to freely interact with the piece. His style is abstract expressionist. Chris wants to transport the audience with his artwork by providing them with a visceral experience. In the same way that his global travels have taken him to far-off places that have changed his perspective, his art is intended to transport the viewer emotionally to another place for a similar experience that is unique and different for each viewer.

It has been made possible to see another successful art show by the history of ART4You Gallery, which offers highly professional events with a range of local and international artists. Chris Barley's artwork has been hanging on Arabeska City Walk Dubai's walls since November 9th and will continue to do so until December 6th, 2023.
