A rare Qarmoosha Pure Ultra White falcon has sold for an impressive AED 1.5 million (USD 408,000) at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2026, setting the highest auction price achieved during this year’s edition. Owned by Mark Moglich Falcon Farm in the United States, the exceptional pure-white falcon weighs 1,000 grams and measures 16.5 inches in length and width. Its distinctive colouring, physical qualities and rarity attracted significant interest from leading falconers and bidders.
The record sale took place during the fifth falcon auction of the 23rd edition of ADIHEX, held at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi under the theme “A Legacy of Pride.” The exhibition is organised by ADNEC Group, a Modon company, in strategic partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club.
Beyond its remarkable price, the sale highlights the growing international value placed on exceptional falcon bloodlines and specialist breeding. Much like rare art, jewellery and other prestigious collectibles, provenance, rarity and exceptional characteristics play an important role in determining desirability and value. ADIHEX 2026 brings together 55 leading local and international falcon breeding and care farms, a 20 percent increase from last year, demonstrating the expanding global interest in this specialised field.
The AED 1.5 million sale is more than an auction milestone. It reflects the continuing evolution of falconry as a living Emirati heritage, while reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as an international centre for preserving, celebrating and advancing one of the region’s most treasured cultural traditions.
