Between Heritage and Horizon: The Art of Tatiana Lamiri Alaoui

Tatiana Lamiri Alaoui’s journey is a testament to how creativity, resilience, and heritage can shape a powerful artistic vision. Born in Russia and now rooted between Dubai and Morocco, Tatiana has carried her family’s artistic DNA across generations, her great-grandfather was a celebrated artist in the Russian Tsarist era. From childhood, she found herself immersed in the world of imagination, always sketching, creating, and seeing beyond the ordinary.

Although her early path took her to a degree in Marketing Management in Australia instead of art school, Tatiana never abandoned her passion. Life’s experiences, including motherhood, cultural exploration, and spiritual practice, brought her back to her true calling. Today, as a mother of two, she describes her children as her biggest motivation to reignite her creative journey.

Her art is not just about beauty, it is about endurance, positivity, and hidden meaning. Developing her own unique technique, Tatiana combines acrylic, gold plating, gypsum, and epoxy to produce artworks designed to withstand time and climate, ensuring that future generations can experience them unaltered. She extends this philosophy into her functional art, creating tables and furniture infused with natural dried flowers, antique elements, and epoxy, where craftsmanship meets storytelling.

Nature, Greek mythology, Russian folklore, and deep reflections on life’s unseen dimensions inspire her work. “Be open to the world as the world is open to you” is her guiding motto, reflected in each piece she creates. Tatiana also embraces art therapy, poetry, and meditation as part of her process, believing that art can heal, restore, and help people express what words cannot.

Her achievements speak to her dedication:

In 2017, she launched her “Fairy Tale” furniture collection, inspired by Russian children’s stories, showcased at the Index International Furniture Exhibition in Dubai.

In 2024, she exhibited at Dubai World Art, and from over 4,000 artists, she was chosen as one of only 20 “Digital Art Icons.”

She received recognition as the “Creative Artist 2024” at Women of Universe.

Her works were featured in Super 100 Artists Magazine and celebrated in her solo exhibition in Dubai, inaugurated by cultural leaders.

She received the Contemporary Treasure Award in honor of Henri Matisse’s legacy.

Later in 2024, she participated in the prestigious Carrousel du Louvre, Paris.

In 2025, she joined the 7 Emirates of UAE and Reflections exhibitions, and once again returned to Dubai World Art.

Looking ahead, Tatiana plans a solo exhibition in Morocco in 2025, and participation in Art Dubai and Grand Palais Paris in 2026. Beyond exhibitions, she envisions merging her artistic practice with wellbeing, bringing together art therapy, aromatherapy, poetry, meditation, and sensory experiences to help people reconnect with themselves.

Her art is not just a visual journey, it is a bridge between generations, cultures, and souls. With each creation, Tatiana invites us to see the world through a lens of gratitude, wonder, and faith in life’s divine rhythm. She believes that what we give to the universe comes back, not with demands or expectations, but through trust, vision, and perseverance.
